vista 64: felt much more snappy than avast 64... avast was often stopping its guard feature and not acitvely scanning anything. it often minimized games.

antivir 32bit: often minimizes/crashes games during updates/scans. can be clunky if uber protect mode on. known to crash tf2 and l4d. for myself at least. scan is nice but requires manual delete of each item. false positives ocationally.

-both do not have good antispyware features. i will not have enough time to hopefully test symantecs lol.

end of the overlook:

commit charge: 475m / 6989m

cpu usage 4-6%

processs 45... odly it hovers much more near 4-6% than antivir on 32bit wint hat was more 2-4%.

final conclusion: its to early to tell.. hopefully i am convinced to stay using free apps at the end of my two week trial.

Update:

More than 5 days in. Its fast, stable, quiet... and stealthy when gaming. Not annoying like antivir, or as archaic to me as avast. It seems optimized on its own. HOWEVER!! It does false positive alot of popular tools, especially for security and spyware removal like combofix.exe or prodkey. They will appear as trojans.
